Following the 4th Western Balkans Investment Summit organised by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London, Prime Minister Duško Marković said that Montenegro is friendly environment for foreign investors and the most beautiful and prestigious investment destination in Europe.

"These are not just our words, but words of almost all investors and agencies, and I was pleased that during the conference the panel showed landscape of the Bay of Kotor," PM Marković said.

Speaking about the current situation regarding the tax debt of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral, Prime Minister Marković emphasised: "The Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral is a taxpayer and it is clear from the basic information that it is non-compliant taxpayer, that it has only thirty priests registered in Montenegro, for which it has not paid taxes and contributions on the basis of their engagement for ten years, and we all see that the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral, that is, Serbian dioceses in Montenegro, have hundreds of unregistered priests who are not taxable on this basis. At the same time, the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral is an actor in various financial activities and activities that result in tax liabilities. There is no policy here, the Law must apply equally to everyone in Montenegro and no one will teach us about it, either inside Montenegro or outside Montenegro, even if it is the President of Serbia. Taxpayers are those who work and exercise certain rights in Montenegro, not citizens of another state, or their officials. " (https://youtu.be/OPMmp56BuEk)

Asked about his meeting with EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti and projects that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development would support in our country, the Prime Minister said that the EBRD has been present in Montenegro for a long time and that it also supports state and private sector investments.

"At this new moment, they are really keen to support investments in energy, renewable energy and green energy. They are ready to support the project of reconstruction of our airports, whether by concession or another model and of course many other projects in the field of tourism, agriculture and, as I said, the private sector. I think the EBRD's allocation to projects in Montenegro is by far the largest in the region in terms of the size of our economy," Prime Minister Duško Marković said following the 4th Western Balkans Investment Summit in London.
